Dr. Corine R. Barone
Full time Pediatric dentist, part time "Tooth Fairy of Marblehead and Middleton"
Dr. Corine R. Barone is a former dental hygienist, who taught Dental Materials at Forsyth Dental Hygiene School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Barone received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts Dental School in 1986. She completed a general practice residency at New England Medical Center in 1987, with an emphasis on hospital dentistry and patients of special needs. In 1991, Dr. Barone received her certificate of specialty in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital and The Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she currently remains on staff.
Dr. Barone is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentists. She is also a regular lecturer both nationally and internationally on pediatric dental care.
Away from the office, Dr. Barone is a second degree Black Belt in Martial Arts and is an assistant instructor at the United Martial Arts School, she also practices yoga regularly. She is also an experienced equestrian, and a proud owner of her seventeen hand Black Friesian, a miniature horse, a family of alpacas, and a lion head bunny. Dr. Barone is also an active member of the Marblehead Rotary Club, a former co-chair on several Yankee Dental committees and has participated in several volunteer missions treating children in both Honduras and Moldova. She enjoys traveling and she and her husband have done so extensively on both cross country equestrian and biking adventures on various continents. And lastly Dr. Barone enjoys spending time in and out of the office with her handsome and talented nephew Jeremy Kovac.
Dr. Michael J Cognata
Orthodontist
Dr. Cognata has over 25 years of experience in private practice providing orthodontic care for children and adults with the full spectrum of malocclusions and dentofacial problems. He also spent 25 years teaching part time at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Department of Orthodontics where he was Director of Predoctoral Orthodontics and Clinical Instructor of Postdoctoral Orthodontics.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and Secretary of the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics.
Dr. Cognata is a former trustee for the Massachusetts Dental Society and he was the General Chair for the Yankee Dental Congress 31 and is a longtime member and recent past president of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists Eastern Component.
Dr. Cognata enjoys a variety of personal interests including teaching, clinical research, skiing, kayaking, travel, yoga, biking, hiking and playing guitar.

Dr. Neha Patel
Orthodontist
Dr. Neha Patel was born in Chicago, IL. and raised in Moline, IL. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2007. In 2011, she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In 2014, she completed her residency at the University of Florida College of Dentistry receiving a post-graduate Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science degree.
In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys cooking with her husband, exploring the Boston-metro area, and traveling the world with her family. She is also a former student of Kathak Indian Classical Dancing and has won multiple regional and national titles.
Dr. Patel believes in putting patient first. She makes it a priority to address a patient’s questions or concerns to ensure they feel comfortable and confident in the treatment process.
Dr. Zameera Fida
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Zameera Fida received her DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and certificate in pediatric dentistry from Boston Children's Hospital/HSDM. Since her graduation from residency, Dr. Fida has been treating pediatric dental patients primarily at Boston Children's Hospital and continues to do so at this time. She treats a variety of ages and also those with special health care needs.
In 2011, Dr. Fida became board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2013, Dr. Fida became the pre-doctoral director of pediatric dentistry at HSDM and served in that role until she started her residency in endodontics at Tufts. Dr. Fida completed a 2 year endodontic residency at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and recently became board certified by the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Fida is one of a few dual trained pediatric dentists/endodontists in the country and has a special skill set in managing patients who have sustained dental trauma. She uses her unique skill set to help ensure the best outcomes for her patients.
Dr. Fida recently moved to Marblehead with her husband and 2 young sons and is excited to become a member of the community.
Dr. Abrar Ahmed
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Abrar Ahmed was born and raised in the greater Boston, MA area. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA in 2021 with a degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Dr. Ahmed went on to complete her pediatric dental residency at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA through NYU Langone. Currently, she is working on completing her Advanced Education in Public Health Certification through NYU as her interests lie in public and global health initiative with a focus on providing oral health care to the medically complex/ special health care needs population. Dr. Ahmed has extensive education and training in caring for infants, children, adolescents and individuals with special health care needs, including those with medical complexities and co-morbidities.
Beyond the realm of dentistry, Dr. Ahmed enjoys traveling and discovering new cultures and flavorful dishes. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and finding fun activities to do together whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or painting.
