Addressing orthodontic needs during the teenage years carries numerous advantages compared to delaying treatment. These benefits encompass shorter treatment durations, reduced reliance on tooth extractions, the ability to create space for unerupted teeth and accommodate crowded ones, fostering facial symmetry and aesthetics by stimulating jaw growth, preserving tooth health, and reducing the risk of damage to protruding teeth.

At our welcoming, family-friendly office, our pediatric dentist and team take pride in extending orthodontic treatment options specifically tailored for teenagers. We encourage you to get in touch with our team today, explore the full range of services we offer, and schedule your family's next appointment with our experienced pediatric dentist. We're eager to understand your unique requirements and assist you in finding the ideal solution for your family. Let us help your teenager attain a beautifully straight smile through orthodontic treatment perfectly suited to their lifestyle.

Traditional Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces are the most common type, and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, they straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.

Gold Braces

Gold braces are similar to traditional metal braces in many ways. They are made of stainless steel but are uniquely coated in gold. Many regard the gold coating as a more cosmetic option than traditional metal braces. And the cost of gold braces is surprisingly comparable to most clear braces.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, they are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.

Clear Orthodontic Appliances

Invisalign® uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. And no one can tell you are wearing Invisalign because it’s invisible! Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment; plus, brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and contain no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. Please visit our Invisalign page to learn more about.
